Elder Garland Gist, Garland was born and raised in Southern CA and after graduating high school in 1985 he attended a local community college. In 1988 Garland met Jacque Lechuga, the love of his life. Later that year they would move to Phoenix, AZ and in 1992 the two would marry. The Lord in his sovereign grace sent a Pastor who was canvassing their neighborhood to their home, he shared the Gospel with them resulting in their coming to Christ. After his visit Garland and Jacque started attending church where they were baptized together and served. In August of 1994 they celebrated the birth of their oldest daughter Miryea. Three years later and after much prayer, the Lord created an opportunity for Jacque to become a stay-at-home mom, however this meant Garland would accept a position with a company in Tucson, Arizona. The family moved to Tucson and in October of 97, the Lord blessed them with the birth of their second daughter, Mikaela. For the last 25 years Garland has supported his family as a buyer working for various companies in specific industries such as Mining, Aerospace, and Defense. Since moving to Tucson he and his wife have served faithfully in their church in various ministries including but not limited to children’s ministry, youth ministry, and small groups. At their previous church he was an elder but after 24 years of attendance the Lord ordered their steps and brought them to Redeemed Life Bible church. Garland as a member of and an Elder at Redeemed Life Bible Church will serve the congregation faithfully by loving God the Father, loving Christ our Lord and Savior, and loving His people. Gal 5:13
